U.S. Chamber moves to intervene in EPA denial to reconsider endangerment rule

August 05, 2010

NCLC moved to intervene in the Coalition for Responsible Regulation’s (CRR) challenge of EPA’s implicit denial of CRR's petition for reconsideration of EPA’s endangerment rule. The CRR argues that the EPA’s promulgation of the Tailpipe Rule effectively denied the group’s February 2010 petition to EPA to reconsider its endangerment rule for greenhouse gases. While NCLC does not challenge the science behind climate change, NCLC argued that parts of CRR’s challenge overlap with NCLC’s challenges of the Tailpipe Rule and endangerment rule, and that the court should therefore permit NCLC to intervene.
