Colorado Supreme Court reverses erroneous interpretation of Colorado Oil & Gas Conservation Act

The Colorado Supreme Court held that the Oil and Gas Conservation Commission correctly interpreted the Act to preclude a proposed rule that would foreclose the Commission from balancing the benefits of oil and gas development against potential harms to the environment and to public health.

U.S. Chamber urges Colorado Supreme Court to review interpretation of Oil and Gas Conservation Act

The U.S. Chamber filed an amicus brief urging the Colorado Supreme Court to review a Colorado court of appeals decision holding that Colorado law does not permit state oil and gas regulators to balance the benefits of oil and gas development against purported adverse impacts to health and safety.
