The U.S. Chamber filed a coalition brief urging South Carolina Supreme Court to vacate trial court’s order consolidating two asbestos cases for trial, even though plaintiffs shared nothing in common other than their use of defendant’s product: they had different levels of asbestos exposure, suffered different diseases, and asserted different legal claims.
Mark A. Behrens and Caroline M. Gieser of Shook, Hardy & Bacon L.L.P. served as co-counsel for the coalition.
