U.S. Chamber files brief urging California Court of Appeals to hold that the Federal Arbitration Act preempts California’s SB 707

The U.S. Chamber’s amicus brief urged the California Court of Appeals to hold that the Federal Arbitration Act preempts California’s SB 707, which imposes unique sanctions on employers that withhold arbitration fees for more than 30 days, no matter how justified the delay may have been. The U.S. Chamber also filed an amicus brief at an earlier stage.
